Funnily, most of the girls whom I know who like yuri are bisexual. Most lesbians whom I know are fairly nonplussed towards portrayals of lesbianism in fiction, partly because (with some exceptions) it tends to be pretty bad, especially in American media where, as one of my professors points out, we're in denial about our gender issues as a society and actually, in a lot of countries where the society's gender issues are a lot WORSE, there are a lot more nuanced portrayals of these things in media, possibly because it's simply too severe and pervasive a problem to not discuss.
