Lower Decks sucks

Its committment to never having its lead character never learn any lesson or suffer any consequences far outstrips any entertainmaint value, and it has even outstripped the classic and next gen series in using the reset button in regard their behavior. evEn nex tgen characters developed more over season one of the show than lower dechs has done with its lead.

Well, I agree. But I never made it past episode 2. I hated it right from the beginning.

so you're saying it's following the Seth McFarlane formula for adult cartoons? All while Seth is over there making the Orville as a genuine successor to Star Trek?

I was never going to watch it anyway but I'm genuinely not surprised that they're making it as a static-MC adult cartoon. All the longest-running adult cartoons have leads that never learn or suffer consquences. I guess they're just thinking that's the way to rope in the kids these days to the ST universe?
