Sometimes I feel the same way.

I thought I had them pretty well separated in my head, and then an actor who played a character from a pairing I like died young in a horrible way. Now I cannot read that pairing anymore. It feels disrespectful.

Anton Yelchin, Sulu/Chekov?

No, though that was horrible. :( The guy who played Brian in Fast and The Furious, Brian/Dominic. :(

I just went to google what happened to him and jfc I did not even know he was dead D: What an awful way to go.

This has never happened to me. Well, I feel this way about RPF because then even though it is a fic version of them, it is still the actor and I feel weird reading about them in explicit situations, or reading any RPF really. But I've never had issues separating characters from actors. They are completely separate to me.

Yeah, that makes sense. I do pretty much separate the actor from the character, but yes, I'm imagining their face and body in fic.

I do read origfic romance, but I tend to envision actors playing the parts, so oop?

This was me years ago when I was getting into Doctor Who (Matt Smith era) after many years of being into animation-based fandoms. It made imagining the characters in fanfiction 'too real' compared to my previous ships from anime/cartoon shows.
I just sort of grew out of it and it doesn't bother me now - though when I got into Supernatural much later on (around series 13) I was not ready for the RPF side of it crossing over into the fictional-fanfic side of SPN.

Eh, I generally find it simple to separate actor from character, but, to be fair, spn goes out of its way to make it difficult.

I kinda get what you mean, OP. I fell out of the habit of reading fic and can't get back into it because I'm distracted by thoughts about how the actors would feel about all the pornography.
