157. I'm so sorry what you're been going through. I was you like nine years ago, and I remember very well that feeling of being so afraid of people that are supposed to support you, but who don't and would probably freak the hell out if found out. If writing fics is what makes you happy, you should do it. Like many people said before me, you also have a right to protect yourself, and you're not a monster just for doing so. Just look for a username who doesn't have anything in common with you, and also learn to erase your browser's history records, as well as cookies and temporary images(if your parents are anything like mine, they'll search what's on this); as an alternative I strongly suggest you browse in other places than your home; also, getting an aggregator account such as Google Reader lets you read fandom feeds with total privacy as long as you don't set it to "public", and the only page that appears in the history page is the aggregator's address. Get a new e-mail account as well to communicate with fandom and receive reviews. Also, when writing fics in your computer save the files with names such as "math homework" so it doesn't look suspicious and if possibly, save them in a USB stick -not on the hard disk- that has enabled a password option. I don't recommend writing your fics in a notebook, as these can be easily read by anyone, unless you write in a tiny, tiny handwriting or you hide them very well.
This sounds like a lot of work and it is, but in extreme cases like mine was, it was totally worth it. It helped me have a grip on some mental health, and fandom in the end helped me survive the big crisis my family had a year after.
Your family probably aren't as dysfunctional as mine was, but seeing as this situation has reached the point of making you afraid, I'm assuming there's something more than what you let slip on. All I can tell you now is that, despite me having still some issues with paranoia and had a lot of trouble learning to share all these things that matters to me with my SO, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. This is a temporary situation; you will eventually make your life, and you won't have to hide as hard as you do now. Good luck! :)
