I have read your responses to your other replies. You acknowledge that there are anime out there with emotional depth, and yet stand by your statement (I'd like to know why)? How about before judging an anime fan so instantly, you should care to figure out exactly what genre of anime they like first? It's ignorant to put a blanket statement on people who enjoy a certain medium of entertainment as immature when you know there are many layers to it underneath.

True, it is nice to get to know someone on more than a surface level, and if given the luxury, I do. But, like I said in the secret itself, my initial estimate of one's maturity level goes down. I'm always open to being proved wrong, but, as a stereotype goes, this one has tended to work well for me in the past couple of years.

I wonder though, if this is all from any bad experiences? I've grown out of the anime phase too, although I still enjoy a good series every now and then for nostalgia's sake. But I still feel enthusiastic whenever I meet someone who likes to watch anime too. I have met a number of immature fans out there, but then I chalk it up to being younger and more naive than me, and I only anticipate that they'll grow out of it too. I guess what I'm saying is, instead of judging, just be patient?

Also, I apologize for calling you a troll. I shouldn't be venting out on random people on the internet when I'm stressing over an exam. :( It's not you, it's me. :P

Oh, of course. I'm basing this prejudice several years' worth of encounters with anime fans both young and old, which have on a whole been pretty negative. Of course, I can't account for every single anime fan out there, but it's the first association I make. Like I've said in other comments/responses, I'd be thrilled to be proven wrong.

Dude, don't worry about it. If the shoe fits--and, as someone pointed out to me earlier, I do somewhat fit the profile of a troll. ;P
