Not OP but I think it looks better with all that space. If you cropped it, the secret would look small and unnoticeable or appear as part of either the secret above or below it. You could use big text and crop tightly around it but that would make OP look like he/she is desperate for attention. Considering the secret itself, writing it big would not be appropriate. I think OP made good use of negative space. The only thing I don't like is the missing capital at the beginning.

Let's just say that I do this for a living.

I agree that some negative space is good in an image with this kind of feeling to it, but that's a pretty excessive amount. No reason for it to be that big. And sorry, but I can't buy into the fact that it would look like part of the one above or below-- they're all numbered individually and have a space between them. :P

OP. I did it to catch the eye. Last time I submitted a one sentence secret like that, it was cropped reasonably and of course everyone skimmed over it.
