I just can't see it as people being depressed about Hobo!Phoenix as much as they are sad that he went out that way. I don't doubt that he's over losing his badge and that Trucy was the livesaver he needed at that moment, but that doesn't change the fact that AJ just isn't as interesting as PW was, IMHO. I want to love it, but my favorite characters were totally Wocky and Plum. That just can't be a good sign.

Though you are right, PW would have gotten boring if it was just the same thing over and over again. Wish there was a cleaner break though; Phoenix might as well been the main character for as much as he popped up and had his say. And personally, seeing Phoenix fall from top defense attorney to piano-playing hobo just broke my heart. The game may have told me he was happy with his life, but couldn't he have taken Apollo under his wing like Grossberg did with Mia?
