I was lucky enough to avoid all the stupid flooding along the East coast.

Is everyone else ok?

Our basement flooded. Was higher than knee level for a bit there, and it was straight out of a horror movie the way the water was gushing through both ends of the basement and up the shower drain. Thousands of dollars of stuff, ruined... and we have to worry about mold.

Got Covid test back and it's negative, so I'm feeling pretty relieved.

Feeling kind of bleh. I did get some work done, but not as much as I wanted to. I'm just feeling tired and sore and icky and I want the world to go away.

Tomorrow morning I'm getting a COVID booster, though, and then my new Ipod is supposed to come in the evening. So yay.

I finished moving the last of my (holy shit I have so many) huge potted plants out of the carport and path to the back door yesterday, and wrestled my old fridge to the alley after work tonight. Have to call the hauler guys tomorrow morning to take it away.

If my back forgives me and I can avoid fucking the new fridge up, I'll bring the new one in tomorrow after work. I also need to vacuum and mop some more even after my massive cleaning spree, because moving the fridge revealed a previously undiscovered country of dirt.

Now I think I'll spend a stupid amount of money on more plants and flower bulbs to reward myself for getting this much done. And I need to feed my critters and I definitely need a shower.

Please let work be calm and a little boring tomorrow.

I'm taking another 10 days of vacation in the mountains now that everyone else is back to school/work because I can. (Hon hon hon!)
