See this shit? This is what I’m pushing back against when I talk about “antis.” It’s the idea that fiction has some kind of moral fucking obligation not to give people the wrong idea, as if people aren’t constantly getting the wrong idea no matter WHAT fiction does.

Snape brought all of the bullying he received on himself by inventing violent spells in his free time and hanging out with pre-Death Eaters. I honestly think James should have bullied him harder. Maybe the message of “Cut that evil shit out” would have gotten through. B!S I think anyone who takes Snape’s side are the people who think mass murderers just needed more hugs.

Ironically, I’ve seen some of the same “I’m here for horror, not gay male shipping” from people who in other fandoms go for gay female shipping above all else. I wonder if the people who went for gay male shipping in this fandom are sick of gay female shipping in Baru Cormorant or whatnot.
