Replace "slash in fanfic" with "het in anything" and make it "a relationship between a man and a woman is only meaningful when there's sex, physical desire or romantic feelings" and you've got my exact feelings.

Did we say that? No. Just pointing out that slashers aren't the only ones that force romance into what should be a good friendship.

Actually--I agree. It wasn't my intention to sideline het, but I was trying to keep the secret simple and there wasn't room to type everything I wanted to say (it would have been an essay in that case, lol). It's just that I've been overwhelmed by yaoi lately, so that's what I focussed on. I find het pairings easier to avoid than yaoi ones; whether that's just me or whether it's because yaoi is more predominant, I don't know.

But yes. The general attitude towards sex in today's society just ... it makes me wonder what we're coming to.

Unfortunately, by keeping your secret simple, you added the "stupid". It makes it seem like you are specifically targeting only slash.
