Why are you so concerned with what a stranger wants tattooed on their body? Are you expecting us gays to be angry on your behalf or something?

Why are you so hostile? The ex-SO was asking if i knew if that kind of flag was a real one or not, and didn't want to just mash up a couple things that ended up looking weird, or was offensive.

Because YOUR tone was hostile - you didn't ask if it existed - you declared that it didn't and you were wrong. "Gays, is this dodgy?" is a weird thing to ask and you were very clear to add that you know for a fact they aren't queer, which you don't know, again. Mind your business.

Yeah, sure, okay, whatever.
Funny how you're the only person who thought that. Must be a you thing.

Funny how you were "so concerned" with someone offending gay people and then when YOU'VE done it, it's all on THEM!

They didn’t offend gay people. You personally got offended over nothing, and read implications that weren’t there.

And now you’re trying to speak for all of us, when they’re right that you’re the only one mad about this. You’re a hypocrite for getting angry at tabaqui for assuming people aren’t queer, while totally disregarding the possibility(and the fact in my case) that the people who responded positively to tabaqui are queer.

You can’t speak for all of us. Act like a mature adult and admit that you were wrong to jump down their throat over a misinterpretation of their words. Especially before you accuse them of not admitting to a mistake that they didn’t actually make.

Look, I am just so sick of "alleys" like tabaqui getting up in arms over what's "okay" for other straights (presumably, she doesn't even know in this case) to do to support gay people. Her whole post is trying to police what she thinks is bad ally rep. She claimed something that's very important to some of us ("the mixing and the matching" of flags) doesn't exist and was wrong. I, a queer person, am pissed at her dog whistle-approach to this, because I am queer. She offended me because I'm gay. And then blew me off as it being "just my problem". I also don't think you know what being a hypocrite means either. You not being offended doesn't negate my offense. She didn't offend you, a gay person? Great! She did offend me, a gay person? Problem! Which she addressed like a chad instead of an adult and won't come back to actually apologise for.
