(Anonymous) 2021-09-17 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)Absolutely. Gritty realism doesn't hold up in a genre filled with aliens, magic, pseudoscience and people who put on costumes to male life better for people and actually manage it. It's the ideas behind it and the escapism that matter.
