I guess it depends - you seem to hold some nostalgia for the 60s, and you probably have some for the 70s as well, even if it's just for The Brady Bunch and Atari. And yet, those decades were also full of war, political and civil unrest, and looming nuclear threats. Kids aren't particularly socially aware, so the things they remember and feel nostalgic over aren't usually colored by politics.
