i'm not the OP, but my personal problem with it is that we're not seeing a whole lot of sam's descent to the darkside from sam's point of view. we're seeing that he's sneaking off and using his powers, talking to and confiding in ruby, and keeping it all a secret from dean, who's being told by the angels that what sam's doing is leading him down a dark path, and we've seen dean's reaction to it all. what we haven't seen is what sam's doing, besides pulling demons out of possessed bodies, or what's going to push him to the dark side. he still thinks he's fighting on the right side of things, he just wants it to end and for the right side to win. only in the recent episodes have we gotten a clue about how sam's been feeling about everything.

i'm sure that a showdown between sam and dean is where the writers are heading, but i don't think they're going about it in the right way.

Sorry to butt in but I really hope they don't pull a Star Wars Episode 3 thing and kill Ruby, making Sam turn evil. I agree with you that we haven't seen much from Sam's perspective though.

no worries! and i doubt we're in danger of that, i don't think that sam loves ruby. confides in her and trusts her and has complicated feelings about her, sure, but i don't think he can bring himself to love her.

my feelings on the sam/ruby relationship aside (i support it, but i highly doubt it's gonna end well), i don't think we're in danger of sam going evil based on vengeance for ruby. if anything, i think sam's gonna be the one who ends up killing her.

Have you been watching the show at all? Since when has it ever been from Sam's point of view. You expect them to trade horses mid stream so you can get your fix?

I completely disagree with the entire logic of this comment the secret post.
