Hahah it's not Ted Lasso fanfic sadly. That would be less embarassing I think.

It's sports rpf specifically that got me into the sport in question.

It's honestly just embarassing because,

1. I'm weirdly invested in two players on separate teams (yes the fic shipped them and don't worry I know fanfic ≠ real life).

2. Not understanding the sport in question for so long since it's very similar (but also very different) to a sport I've played for years that a lot of what happens is something I've experienced to a certain degree.

3. Hard to explain to family because I've said in the past very loudly that I don't enjoy watching sports in general, just playing it. Past me really shot current me in the foot here *sigh*.
