Anyone else getting excited for this year's Nanowrimo/miniwrimo? :D

Anyone started planning yet?

I am! My goal’s to finish the fic I started last November. I lost inspiration for it, but it’s a fun (to me) AU and I wanna see it through.

Me! I'm a panster, though, so I'm not planning anything except opening up a word doc on Nov. 1 and seeing what happens.

As a plantser, you have my utmost respect anon. Go you.

AYRT

tbh I have mad respect for those of you who can plan and then stick to a plan while writing! I've tried and my stories always wind up horribly stilted when I do that. So those who can make planning work for them are wizards to me!

*sigh* Urgh I keep telling myself not to bother cause I've never finished a nano before. But I suppose it would be nice to have a monthly project and see how far I get. I don't suppose its a thing to plan out and outline during Nano? Because I'd probably have more success doing that.

People usually do their planning and outlining during October to prep for November. There are probably some NaNoPrepMo challenges out there.

Can't decide yet. I was pumped for it in 2018 and 19, didn't write a single word in 2020--not even because of covid but shitty unsafe neighbourhood induced PTSD--and this year... well I'm dealing with getting fired at the moment so I have nothing planned at all. Couldn't go either way: wallowing in sterile misery or coughing up 100K words as an escapism mechanism?
