I think it is unfair that the boomers had an iron vice-like grip on pop culture for so long, and it only slightly loosened before the millennials kicked the door in, and took it away again. Gen-X deserves to have their opinions last as long as the boomers did, we waited our turn and we suffered for it. Let the mills wait a little longer before demanding everything change for them. We never had our moment in the sun, it was stolen by the generations either side of us.

Gen X had most of the 90s and the early 2000s

Nope, the boomers still controlled the media landscape back then. X-ers might have had a couple of things on the periphery, but the periphery was all it was it. In any case the boomers have had a good fifty years of being in control. Xers deserve no less. Let mills give their share away to the z-ers if they are that eager to be all about fairness. I see we're gonna have another mills pile on the xers though, because mills are just that sort of people.

It's funny - and I'm sure you're not aware of this and it's totally accidental - but this comment is almost phrased in a way designed to get people worked up and angry about the topic.

MTE. This could definitely be a troll secret, but if it is, hats off to the troll because it's pretty darn nuanced bait.

You gotta admit, Gen X has spent a long time being ignored and belittled by the boomers. And it is swamped in terms of the generations either side's sheer numbers. Gen X has had very little say in things.
