Is it? It's gone so far left that it made a 360 turn. Jumping on the hate bandwagons and sending threats to real people is way too common on twitter.

Like anything else, it's a matter of who you follow and how you engage with the platform

Have you heard about death threats on reddit because someone said that A or B is problematic?
I know Facebook only by its pets related pages so no opinion here.

Yes actually. Does it happen on Reddit as much as on Twitter? Can’t say. But it does happen.

And you’ve gotten very lucky on Facebook. Because anything even remotely political, and even posts unrelated to politics, can be real toxic waste dumps on the regular. Of course, more than half of that is conservative assholes. But far left extremists definitely hang out there too.
