108. Just heard about it now, but it seems to me more about trying to give female characters more focus than a offensive on slash. I want more Morgana and Gwen fic, for instance, but I have nothing against Merlin/Arthur. Is there going to be femmeslash? And I know enjoying an unpopular pairing sucks, but I’m not sure how much this is going to affect that?
113. I think it’s supposed to be an awkward, strange little affair. It’s my favorite romantic film because of that.

142. I suggest turning off the computer and getting out there. This is going by personal experience, but fandom can be addicting and deceptively isolating. Friendships one can make in fandom are great, and some might be as strong or more as the ones you will make in Real Life… but, for me, it’s rarely the same.
But I also recommend taking a break from anything that is starting to become “addicting.” *hypocritical caffeine addict who has fandom!secrets as an alert is hypocritical*
150. OMG, don’t get me started on Chavez and Castro. I remember a story about someone approaching a hipster wearing a Chavez shirt and commenting, “Members of my family were killed by that man.” Cue awkwardness. I’m a proud socialist hippy, but the enemy of my “enemy” is not my friend, ok?
