120 - I already miss him. He was such a fun character.

131 - I'll never understand people complaining about "trash" clogging their flist. Maybe it's because I read the comm via RSS feed so traffic doesn't "clog" anything and I can simply delete stuff I don't like and move on.

147 - Oh, but wherefore? Do you not see how it's a moving and serious story of a young girl's sexual awakening, and how her mind is being manipulated by the adults around her? How can you not see the depth of this story? /irony

ohgod, do people actually say that? She's way too young for her actions to be part of a healthy sexual awakening. (Thankfully, the hero understands this, but ick to the fans who don't.)

You'd be surprised. The way some people insist that Kodomo no jikan is actually a Deep And Meaningful Story And Not About The Loli At All is just pathetic. And what's even worse is that it seems some of them are serious about it. D:

Oh, I'll tell you there's a story, all right. Just not that story. The author does seem to have done her homework regarding why kids may sexually act out. It's just, that doesn't make it healthy/natural, and it doesn't make the gratuitous fanservice any less squicky.

She is and that's because her late mother's cousin wants her to be a replacement for her. She even has plans on marrying him when she's 16 probably from a feeling of obligation. I think the situation is screwed up and I hope her teacher eventually saves her or convinces her otherwise.

Don't worry, I'm up on the backstory - you're actually preaching to the converted. It's just the idea that people would defend her situation as a perfectly healthy/normal that squicks me. (You wonder if they're listening to anything Aoki says...)
