Aw. Does that mean you have a laptop then? Because I've never had any problems playing visual novels on mine. YMK installed pretty easily, actually!

I'm thinking they mean a mac. Or something without windows, at the very least. I mean, visual novels don't take a lot to run, so I doubt that's the issue.

Haha, weeeeeell, there are ways around everything. You can actually install Windows on a Mac, so the OP just needs to do some research.

Windows is the definitive gaming platform, I'll give it that, but I'm not too fond of it for my usual computer needs. Just a personal preference. The lack of games is a killer though, which is why I'm considering installing windows on my mac in addition to the mac operating system.

Oooh, I didn't know that! G-granted, I wouldn't really know, since I've been using Windows my whole life. I've heard a lot of good things about Macs from friends, though! But maybe I'll look into getting one sometime, tahaha.
