Check the facts, man. I don't know so much about Cuba (Except that a study found that it had a better health service than the US or Canada), but Venezuela is doing really well under Chavez. I've not got the statistics to hand but poverty levels are falling, they've achieved something like 99% literacy, the numbers of women in education and public service is rising hugely, and they've got subsidised education, healthcare, supermarkets. The economy was contracting before Chavez was elected, and now it's healthier than most other Latin American countries. And that's despite the attempted military coup and attempts to topple Chavez and replace him with a right-wing puppet ruler.

Wait? Chavez? For some reason my mind put 'Guevara' in there. x_x WTF Brain.

As for Cuba, people there are dirt poor, you can be imprisoned for speaking against the Castro regime, Castro (or his brother now) has been in charge of the country since his revolution for "the people." And you can vote, sure. But there's only one political party to pick from...

Like I said, I don't know that much about Cuba. But the economic blockade can't be helping with the poverty...
