137. Just because your friends and acquaintances are stupid doesn't mean everyone is. You can be informed about the real world and involved in fandom. I know many people who are.
Also, other people's lives are none of your damn business. Get over yourself.

Not that I need to prove my intelligence or work ethic to you, but I work in child care three days a week from nine to five then go to college to earn credits for a degree in biology with a minor in psychology two days a week so I can study sexology along the lines of Kinsey. I worked for the Obama campaign and participate in local government. I vote every election. I keep up with the news. I'm also 21 and involved in fandom.
So, stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
I really don't see how you have any right to judge the intelligence of an entire age group or fandom. Generalizations and prejudice are lazy and idiotic in and of themselves.
