I don't have anything valuable to say OP, sorry. I already know I have a thing for older men and a daddy kink (although not for me personally, just in fic); and I had a great relationship with my father. I know they're linked stereotypically, but I don't think they *have* to be.

Unless you find yourself *actually* attracted to your father, then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I've always liked older men (in hindsight, 13 year old me's crush was very obvious, and in his 50s) my mother was more than happy to get my take on guys. *Bit* weird when she liked ones I deemed too young though.

Was hilarious when we were out together somewhere and the same guy turned both our heads.

It's really, really common for people's brains to attach "strong emotion (positive or negative)" to "turn-on", in all kinds of weird ways. This is how people end up kinking on balloons and car accidents. I don't think it says anything about you except that you missed your dad a lot.
