I've seen people talking about how BS it is but I haven't seen like an official source debunking it, anybody got one?

Most actual law enforcement agencies just don't comment on Zodiac stuff anymore so most of the discussion is just on like, Zodiac Killer true crime forums and stuff

However, Riverside PD did put out a statement saying that they believe the Bates murder isn't connected to Zodiac (and this theory is based on the assumption that the Bates murder was committed by Zodiac). This article talks about it I think:
