Too many people forget what Third and Fourth gen added. Abilities, better hold item, new fun moves, contests...they just focus too much on the new Pokemon and not on what else the new games have to offer. Though I admit I like third gen contests more than fourth gen, and fourth gen has too many legendaries, preevolutions, and new evolutions. :|

I don't want to say "It's your own fault," but you are not blameless for not standing up for yourself. It's the internet. If you don't like what's going on, you can step away from the computer.

Dude, don't feel that way. Just go for it. If you feel that self-conscious, why not write something for the anonymous kink meme or any similar events, like fic exchanges, etc?

Just tell yourself that whatever you put out in fandom, at least ONE person will like it, even if you think it's crap. If you ask me, it's worth writing and posting just for that :) Honestly, when I see comments like yours I think 1. the person is genuinely self-conscious when it comes to the quality of their fic and I can sympathize, or 2. They are just worried they won't get the amount of positive attention that they want.

If you are the first, don't worry about it and just write. If you are the second...just ignore this comment 'cause you're likely to never be satisfied with the amount of recognition you do or don't receive in fandom.
