I loved Firefly, but I think that if it continued for many seasons, the magic would be lost, and I rather like it the way it is.

This movie was amazing. And what REALLY pisses me off is that most people who say they "hate" the movie...haven't seen it. How can you say you hate something without ever having tried it? And it's not like the fandom or squeeing fangirls can put you off it - we're pretty minimal.

I think you can have a good character (which I think he is), without him being a good person. Part of the appeal that he's a well constructed character, and not because he's charming.

117. Sirius would have been a good father figure if he'd spent more time with Harry, even though he disowned his entire family and therefore had much less of a relationship with his father than Harry did with any other strong male in his life? How peculiar.

Harry had Sirius, Lupin, Mr Weasley, and Dumbledore. I don't think he was really at a lack for people he could go to for fatherly advice.

160 - I feel ya. If I get into this doctoral program I'm applying to, I'll have to learn to drive to get there, because it's just not happening otherwise. But I've done just fine without one, because I live in a place with good mass transit (well, widespread, at least, the "good" is dubious).

117-Of course he was an awesome father, as shown a little in the epilogue. Just like he was a great auror, ran the whole department and fixed the government before he was 30. Is there any doubt that if there is canon on such a thing it's positive?

140-Yeah, it's definitely not something everybody's going to pick up today and think is incredible. Especially since it's already influenced so much that's around today.

156-So just skip those discussions. They're usually pretty wordy, so you're putting in a lot of time on something you don't have to. Though it seems like your not!secret kind of proves their point.

Actually, I didn't really press on with it. They would start making posts that were getting to what I didn't like, I asked them to stop. I'd usually just stop replying to that all together and await for a different situation.

And yeah, I do have a life and I can indeed step away from the computer. Or I guess fandom, which I did.
