121 Gemini Man? I'm very sorry to hear about that. It's really a shame that people can't take into account the feelings of others in something that should, for all intents and purposes, be fun. Fandom should be fun, and it sucks that that person made it not so for you. If the pic is related and we are talking Mega Man/Rockman fandom... there are spots of the fandom here and there that don't deal with the larger one. I'm only semi active in the fandom and like it that way due to the more... interesting characters in the fandom. Would it be possible to join in with one of those? If not, I can understand. I had to take about a 2-3 year break from the fandom before I could get back into it with a clear head.

Yeah. Like the first time, they didn't know, so I told them that the situation was not really one I wanted to deal with.. well because I had in real life, and it's not really fun to 'play' something like that.

They just kept pushing it on me though so I quietly stepped out.

I actually think of myself as part of the fandom still, just not really the RP fandom. I'd like to try and re-join with new users and players that like rping things other than sex and rape and what not. :/

Maybe I'll just stick to gaming for the most part.

You did the right thing - it's a shame they didn't.

And that's understandable. If you think this could be a problem in the future (given how sexed up fandom seems to be more often than not) joining an RP with a fairly active moderator squad may be a viable option. While I'm not actively involved in RP at the moment, I know that I tend to feel more comfortable in RPs that have active moderators.

Yeah, RPs are all to much about sex now days and not on just like.. well anything else. It's a shame really. Though it doesn't always have to be freakin' rape, ugh.

I'd like to try somewhere else again someday. Moderators are always a plus; there weren't really any where I was at before [the person doing the act was a mod so I couldn't really go to her for help.] So I definately need a place away from that person, and I'd rather none of her lackeys be where ever I relocate to either; that is if I finally start up again.

Yeah. I was going to use a pic of the Rockman character I RPed, but sad geminiman seemed good. It also made it less obvious. I'm glad that you knew who it was though. Being the huge Rockman geek I am and all.

Thanks for being so nice about this, by the way. I appreciate it. This stupid roleplay stuff had been bugging me for a while now, and it'd good to have gotten it off my chest.. even if no one knows who I am.

Pretty much... I think that there are indeed ways to have characters interact and develop that don't involve sex or rape. But there is an unfortunate facination with sex and rape in fandom which can make things rather... awkward for those who aren't so facinated with it.

Mod power abuse is never helpful... It may take a while, but don't let someone ruin what is or was fun for you. If you are able to find a new place that doesn't involve her or her acquantances and seems like a good place to RP, then I encourage you to join up and play when you're ready for it.

I can understand that - and... Oh gosh... I collect Rockman fan art with a burning (and slightly embarrassing) passion. I had a whole ton of it before my last computer died a very quiet yet dramatic death.

You're welcome! In a way, I can understand. It really helps to get it off your chest and talk about it if it's upsetting you. And sometimes it just helps to have someone reaffirm that you made the right choice.

I hope to one day start up again with RPing. Who knows. Again, thanks for talking about it with me. I kind of needed it.

Oh my, you should see my Rockman collection. I don't collect images, but toys and clothes and stuff, and more recently the games. (Well, complete games. I had them all with just carts before.)

Ooooo. I have a couple t-shirts and the X 8 PVC figures and a small handful of manga and art books, but that's about it (aside from Classic and X games). I haven't quite been a fan since the cartridge era (the first one I played was X6) but I think that between the virtual console and the PS2 collections, I've managed to catch up. :3
