Sirius may or may not have had the potential to be one, but between losing years of his life to Azkaban, being on the run, and then being locked up in Grimmauld Place he really didn't have the chance to try it. Lupin likewise; he does a fairly good job as a teacher, but then he's gone and Harry doesn't have much close contact with him after that.
Mr. Weasley was about the only half-decent father-figure Harry had, by my reckoning.
What really scares me is that Harry doesn't seem to care about Dumbledore's gigantic glaring flaws... nor does JKR, who has called him the "embodiment of Good" or some such thing.
