but this has been since I was little. and at a young age, an eye doctor told me I would probably be legally blind by 30...

Have you been back to see the eye doctor? Often the predictions doctors make are not that accurate (and I'm a student doctor myself!), because honestly, medicine is such a complicated field that all kinds of things can change over a period of years - treatments, tests, the patient's physiology....
If you can, please go and get it checked out again. It sounds like you're terribly worried about it, and that in itself isn't good for your health. There may be something they can do to help - and whatever they say, at least you'll be informed about what's going on.

That's very sad. However, opthomology has come so far, you need to go back to a specialist to see if they can do something for you now.

I'm basically saying the same thing that the last two posters said, but yeah, make sure you see an eye doctor again. Technology has come a long way and they may be able to do something about your vision before it gets worse. The worst thing you can do is wait, because I can tell you from experience, your vision will be the worst for it. (I'm very near-sighted, and I think wearing an outdated prescription for over a year really messed up my eyes worse than they already would have been.)
