I've said it before, I'll say it again - I want a goddamn reset button for the FFVII fandom. Just fucking press it, and be GONE with all the awful fanon and the shit fans who can't be arsed to play the goddamn game and still think they know what happened... all of it.


144. Gundam fandom has selective issues with understanding reactions to deaths of loved ones. Apparently it is sometimes okay to be upset, and sometimes you're a raging douchetard who doesn't deserve fans. Apparently. I've given the fuck up on not wanting to raeg hard at most of the fan reactions at this point, because it's just. not. possible. The fandom is just set straight to "bitch and hate" mode, and there's no expecting them to empathize with a character, period. I'm almost more surprised when they do!

/a/ is hardly a good source of intelligent commentary on that show. I've seen plenty of good discussions and overanalyses about it, and lord knows I'm guilty of it. Some of it was on the comm, much of it was on individual journals. Very rarely (but it existed!) on /a/, occasionally on /cm/, and absolutely NEVER on AnimeSuki or anime blogs.
