I ship Parker/Hardison too!

I don't think fandom is inherently racist, although that point is endlessly debatable as you can read on

metafandom.

I think fandom has slash-goggles on actually. What's with all the Nate/Eliot fic? Don't get me wrong I am not homophobic and have nothing wrong with slash fic. I read it and love it in other fandoms. But I just don't see the Nate/Eliot pairing at all. They have no sexual tension. Yet it's the most popular fic. Go figure.

You know the answer to the problem. When there's no fic - go write some. We all need to contribute to our small but growing fandom.

I thought about it more and I realized everyone ships Nate/Eliot because Eliot is very well built and Nate is sexy and two guys are better than one. It's that simple. But I can't like a ship unless I can sort of picture it happening (my personal preference) and I just don't see Nate/Eliot.

Eliot/Hardison is more plausible. Hardison so desperately doesn't want to be seen as just a geek. He's trying to learn combat skills and it's so cute when he does. I can totally see some rivalry turn D/s fic there.

I think one of the problems writing Hardison/Parker is how strange Parker is. Or at least this is a problem for me when I think about writing a fic. I just don't know how to write her. She's rather damaged and socially awkward; See the way she runs from Hardison's attention. Gosh, they are so cute I can't take.

I don't want to write my paper for class I just want to write fic. Oh Leverage. I can't wait till the summer.

And you hit the nail on the head, too, with having to have to get the pairing.

I wonder if all the pairings with Eliot wouldn't happen if he weren't played by Christian Kane...

I was on the fence with shipping Hardison/Eliot until I read this (http://with-a-kay.livejournal.com/23599.html) [xover with her tractorbeam!verse] and I was all about Hardison/Eliot from that moment on. And, now I see it all over the show. I also love that AH and CK are good friends in real life, and of course, I am just waiting for some RPS xover that addresses that AH played Jake Talley. *g*

WORD on Nate/Eliot. I haven't keeping a close enough eye to see if it's just 1-3 very active authors or a bigger bunch of fans for that pairing but I cannot wrap my head around it. Maybe I'm just too limited -- I mostly dig canon pairings, and when it comes to slash in Leverage, Hardison/Eliot is the only thing that makes sense in my eyes.

I agree with "don't complain, just write" though sadly I seem to be guilty of complaining as of late. Inspiration, where are you.. Maybe I'll get off my ass one day and fic the hell out of Leverage. It deserves it! :D
