You might hate him more if you find out his hat has nothing to do with always being ready for tea. It's his cheapass (but very creative, I think) version of an elephant costume.

OP here, and truth be told I figured the teapot hat was either just something he chose randomly or had for another reason that would be explained later on, which apparently it was. I'm still willing to give him respect points for it though, just 'cause I love tea and it is a nice little teapot.
