Testimony is not nothing, and is considered evidence in court, even if it’s not always enough to win cases. I’m not saying it’s definitive proof, or that I believe he’s guilty without a shadow of a doubt. But the way you act like there’s no basis for anyone to believe he’s guilty is disingenuous.

Testimony without any proof is next to nothing though. Mainly because the testimony of the accused also counts.

The testimony is the proof, and it’s far from nothing. A large number of cases are won by testimony alone, because it’s evidence. How strong it is as evidence varies by case, and how it’s worth is argued, of course. But thanks to fictional representations of the courtroom, many people have a poor understanding of “evidence”, and assume no case can be one without “solid evidence”. But this physical evidence, as well as video and photographic evidence, is not as ubiquitous to every case as people think. Because that kind is of evidence simply doesn’t exist in every case. But that doesn’t mean that the case has no evidence, or no basis to be brought into the courtroom. Because there’s testimony and affidavits. Those are what make or break most cases.

I never said the accused testimony didn’t count either. Again, I’m not trying to actually make a judgment one way or another on Jackson. Your feelings and opinions are valid, but so are the feelings and opinions of the people who believe he’s guilty. They’ve looked at the same evidence as you, and came to a different conclusion. And they’d be justified in saying “I don’t know how anyone can still think Michael Jackson is innocent, based on everything that’s come out.”. Because that’s just as reasonable as what you’re saying.

But in the end, the information revealed to the public is all anyone of us knows. It can be considered enough to make a definitive conclusion, but it’s still lacking an important factor. Inside information. Unless anyone of us was actually a part of this case, or knows anyone involved, it’s all still basically speculation. Maybe someday more information will be revealed that might paint a clearer picture. But that hasn’t happened yet.
