Must be all that Japan-made fluff. It's true that they're completely not in sync with actual history and relationship between the two countries, but putting that aside the characters are terribly sweet (and awkwardly married LMAO) XD idk I think that's where the op was getting at.

yeah, i do think they (the characters, obviously not the countries) are kind of cute and happy too, but don't mind me OTL
