114. See, here's the deal, OP. Once you place your work out to the viewing public, it will be judged. No ifs, ands, or buts. If you do not wish your talent (or lack thereof) to be commented on in any way, keep your fandom stuff to your damned self. People need to learn that you can't always be given a pat on the head, and you're not entitled to people liking what you do --or them being quiet about their dislike--, just as much as the rest of fandom is not entitled to expect everything out there to be made of gold.

133. Yeah, even my friends seem to get a bit over sensitive about my disliking the series. Not that it stops me. It will never stop me from saying how much I deplore it. And really, if they're true friends, it shouldn't stop you, either.

Saying, "if you make it public, then expect to be bashed" is a pretty nihilistic way of looking at things. The OP isn't asking for a pat on the head, just basic civilities from fellow members of a fandom.

So say you're 13, and this is your first fic; yeah it isn't good but that's no reason that people should turn you into a focal point for mockery. Unless you're going on about how great you are, but that's something else.
The point this OP is making is just a long version of, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".
Being a decent human being isn't that hard, even on the internet.
