Belated long-story-short, I haven't caught up on my f!s in a while:

Old wank got stirred up again when a former BNF kind-of returned to the fandom. Sweden and Norway are the nationalities of a couple of the characters slashed most frequently. Some fans loved her work of them and some hated her for a myriad of reasons. For the most part she was the only *really* major drama in the fandom, with all the standard mini-wanks and fetish prejudices aside. Those happen in almost every fandom and are quickly resolved.

The Hello Kitty is an allusion to her handle. If you don't already know I won't call her out (I'm neutral but she gets enough hate), but you hardly even need to do any digging if you string together a few words in your question on google to find the history of all the bullshit if you're so inclined.
