112. I try my best to reply to any and all comments to my stories. I'm not popular or anything, but the handful of replies I get make me so ridiculously happy I can't even begin to describe it. However! There are times that I fail to respond. But is not because I feel that I "don't owe the readers replies", it's because I... ah, how to explain? It's because sometimes the feedback is something so extremely flattering, or something that makes me feel like a real writer, or just makes me so very happy that I want to accurately put into words what the comment meant to me. So I think about how to put it into words; how to get the gratitude across without seeming like some attention-starved and weepy loser. The days pass, and I'm still thinking. And before I know it a week has passed, and I still haven't been able to think up anything decent. So then I start having to mentally add another part to my reply, i.e. explaining why it took me so long to reply -- and when I try to explain that I feel like even more of a moron, and even more time passes, and yadda yadda. You get the picture, I hope. You have no idea how sorry and ashamed I am about this, but I just can't help it.

I saw that secret and thought it was really awesome to see someone else remembered that movie. It was such a fun one to watch. Also, I've never understood how Billy Zane never ended up a bigger star. I'd not heard anything about a sequel, but the way I figure, if we're getting a Tron sequel 20+ years later, why not Phantom?

...I'm going to end up renting this weekend now.

Secret!making anon also wishes for a sequel. And is similarly confuzzled as to why Billy Zane is not a big star.

Although after Phantom, his cameo as himself in Zoolander may be the best thing ever.

The Phantom was, like you said, just plain fun. But it was fun while staying faithful to the original comic, which is a huge plus in my book (and something almost no other adaption can brag about)!

God, agreed a thousand times over. I thought he was a great actor who could play all kinds of roles (from pure heroes, to everyday joes, to extreme villains -- you ever watch "Posse"? slickest bad guy EVER), and he's attractive as well, so it just doesn't make sense.

From what I've heard a sequel is in the works -- but it's more of a reboot than a true sequel; meaning new actors, new plot, new setting, etc. Basically it'll be like every other comic-based movie that Hollowood spews out these days.

...you do realize you are more than likely turning people off from ever leaving that kind of wonderful feedback for you again, right?
