112. But to put it in perspective, some artists and authors get so many comments that it's a little overwhelming, and sometimes even impossible to reply back. I know I only do when the reviewer has an honest question, or if they make a good point that I think needs clearing up.

129. B-but I love silly, goofy Gourry! Sure, the anime version is kinda dense, but he's also exceedingly loyal, highly skilled, and just an all around good guy.

He's just as silly in the novels, he's just not as dense. All of that except the denseness is the same. It's such a drastic change though.

I suppose, but anime-Gourry is still a thoroughly lovable character. To me, anyway. It's just like how the anime rather overdid Amelia's justice speeches and clumsiness for a while. Yes, it was exaggerated, but it was for the laughs (which Slayers has plenty of) and I still don't think it took anything away from her character.

But, maybe it's because I was exposed to the anime first that it doesn't affect me as much. *shrugs*

Right now, the only thing in Slayers that has me all riled up is if FUNimation will get any of the original dub cast to do Revolution. It's not likely, but I'll miss them so. ~~Except David Moo.~~
