I agree with all of this.

Especially the first part, because reading articles about celebrities I like is something that feels like it gets too personal, and I don’t want to know that much about them and their lives.

I used to read a gossip rag called Life & Style for the fashion parts, but I had a weird compulsion to read the entire magazine as well, which I thankfully stopped giving into after a while. I guess I felt like I had to get my money’s worth of the magazine? But either way, I ended up reading a lot of celebrity gossip that I didn’t actually care about out of this dumb compulsion. So reading online articles about celebrities I like reminds me of that too much, and it has no appeal to me.
