I will say, I appreciate that (at least the fic I've run into) it's been a lot of Toji not being very nice and the OFC/Reader isn't his assassin equivalent. It's just some woman who wants to/ends up wanting to fuck and has no qualms about it lmao (well, mostly...there's also the fics where it's like this guy was super toxic, the sex was the best, but please stay away from me, kryptonite ok one more time for old time's sake). It's kind of refreshing. So many fics (across fandoms) tend to have "fiesty badass chick" (which I do appreciate, especially when written well/executed well) and this is a nice break from that. If anything, there's almost hints of "maybe my love can change him" but it's false, because his dick changes you lol In all seriousness I really do wonder about the badass lady equivalent to the MC vs the silent inner strength but "softer" counterpart of the MC as love interests to a villainous/cruel type of MC -- these general archetypes as they're written in fic. Is it to see the version of yourself you'd like to see? Is it to see the softer parts of yourself be rejoiced? I guess this falls under literary analysis, although it's fic.

This was probably more than you needed to or cared to know, I just have nowhere else to share this, sadly.
