it all feels murky but so far it just seems to be him sleeping around and lying? And it's bad but if most of Big Bang can still work in the entertainment industry considering their individual scandals that are MUCH more serious - never mind the dozens of racial microaggressions I've witnesses as a kpop fan since 2008 - then barring Lukas having gotten someone pregnant or causing physical harm I think he'll eventually land on his feet. My guess is maybe next summer at earliest? or maybe they're waiting to quietly dismiss him once his contract expires IDK

A woman came forward and said she had been dating Lucas off-and-on. During that time he was consistently getting her to buy him things, she found out he was seeing other women, and honestly just being a shitty boyfriend.

I believe several other women corroborated her story by saying that they had also been dating/banging Lucas during this time period. That may not be confirmed, I checked out for the most part after the first round of accusations and cancellations.

For me there are two things that make this into an actual "scandal" (I hate that word) that does reflect on him as an idol: firstly, the allegation that he picked these girls up at fanmeets, and secondly the allegation that he pressured girls into sex.

Whether either of these things are true, I don't know and none of us ever truly will because we weren't there. Personally I believe it because there's been no effort from him or SM/Label V to refute it. And if they are true, these two things prove that he cannot be trusted with the kind of platform that being an idol gives him. It may not be criminal but it's still skeevy as fuck and the fact that other idols have had worse scandals doesn't take away from that.

I wasn't that hyped about it personally but I know so many people were and I hope they and you get it one day! I wonder if Hendery could rerecord it with Ten or YangYang, or even with like, Johnny or someone as NCT U.

Yeah, a lot of what you said is why I really struggle to want to call myself a fan of Lucas now. One of the accusers said they felt pressured and "gave in" when he kept insisting he didn't want to use a condom and didn't respect their refusal when they said they didn't want to (it was due to the accuser being on their period but honestly, no one needs a reason to say no; if they weren't in the mood that is enough).
Also, yes, there was a "scandal" that Lucas refused to take letters from most fans and only accepted letters from the good looking fans. This "scandal" occurred maybe a week before the first accusation from an alleged ex came out. I think people forgot about it because it had seemed like such a silly gripe for fans to have. But after the accusations came out and Lucas went on hiatus, a friend came back to me with the "letters scandal" and to me, that seemed gross for him to see his fans as potential side pieces.

As for "Jalapeño" it would be fun to see it released and rerecorded with another member (Hendery deserves something bigger than what he's gotten so far; I want Hendery to have a big moment), but it will never have that ~special~ feel of it being specifically Hendery and Lucas in what looked like them playing undercover cops. It's SUPER personal for me. T_T I'm new to Kpop and when I was getting into NCT, WayV was either the first or second unit I got into, and I was like, "You know, Lucas's visuals and whole demeanor is so reminiscent of 90s Hong Kong teen heartthrobs, like Takeshi Kaneshiro and Nicky Wu". And then I was introduced to Hendery and I was like "Holy shit, these two need to be in a movie like 'Young Policemen in Love' together." Hendery is handsome but a complete goofball, he and Lucas together seemed to be so tailor made for me. So when "Jalapeño" teasers came out months after I fell in love with WayV, I was feeling so, "THIS IS IT! THIS IS IT!" so you know...it sucks.
It's OK though, now I'm living on the prayer that Hendery and Jaehyun will interact. Hendery jumps out in random places to scare Jaehyun, but Jaehyun's a robot so he'll just give his shy smirk and mutter, "Wow." That or SM needs to give us 00 Liners fixed unit. Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Yangyang, Shotaro!!!

I can't remember when this happened (maybe late last year or early this year) a few idols were getting bullying allegations written about them on pann and one idol had really serious allegations (inappropriate jokes towards female students, causing an autistic classmate to have a meltdown etc) and the company had a statement out within two days clearing everything up. (only the sexual jokes happened)

I hate that sm are just posting group photos like always, it's so uncomfortable.
