For me, John Cleese has shown his ass in the media just a little too often for me to watch MP as easily as I used to. He's become exactly the type of elderly angry white guy that he and the rest of the cast used to take the piss out of. A lot of the things they were satirizing has faded out of public use and memory too, and that is always lethal to satire. The "Meaning of Life" movie has really been hard by the passage of time. It is so tied to the early eighties or late seventies and people from the pre-eighties being unable to cope with the social changes that it is nigh meaningless now.
