Yeah, that's bullshit. I only use my cellphone for texting, gaming apps, and selfies. My PC is where I go when I want to watch YouTube videos and read Buzzfeed articles to get educated!

I continue to love the people whining about millennials, acting as though we're all a bunch of young high school/college kids*. We're in our 30s and nearing 40 now, for fuck's sakes. Most, if not all, of us did grow up in a world pre-cell phones/social media/etc.

*Even if we were high school/college age, that rant would still be a stupid stereotype o an entire generation, mind, but, yeah.

Homer Simpson is a millennial now. Which explains a lot about Homer. He fits the boomer archetype, and he fits the millennial archetype, but he never really felt at home as a Gen Xer. Millennials are essentially Boomer 2.0 in terms of disproportionate demographic weight and they upset the Boomers the same way the Boomers upset the Greatests.

Gen X or Gen Z? Gen X is older than millennials and most were adults before cell phones became common. I think Gen Z is what Scott means. Of course it's an annoying old fart thing to call everyone younger than them a Millennial. (Just like it's an annoying young person thing to call everyone older a Boomer. They're both just as dumb. But generational contempt like this is as old as humanity, there's nothing new about it)

PS - I kind of want to see the Last Duel but that's the kind of movie you don't need to see in the theater, you know? If there aren't explosions or amazing sound design I don't need to pay 30$ for a huge screen or professional sound system. A depressing movie with two graphic rape scenes and a sword fight and three people being really miserable? Sounds perfect for my basement on a Sunday evening in February. Scott should be complaining that the market has completely changed and therefor we should also change how we view success.
