I don't think I agree with your outlook, but you're not wrong. Most of the movies that get made today get made because they have a built-in audience that's pretty much guaranteed to make them an immense return. Meanwhile original movies with much smaller budgets are getting choked out, because producers don't trust them to make a worthwhile return. Why risk 40M on a movie that is far more likely to end up with a net profit of 20M, if it even makes a profit at all, when you can bet 200M on a movie that the algorithm predicts will net at least 100M, even if people hate it?

However, "We have no one to blame for shitty corporate greed but ourselves," is still the misguided argument it's always been, so if I'm correct in getting whiffs of that from your comment, then nah, hard pass.
