Well, I'm not too active in slash fandom particularly anymore, I only get the bad bits through this place and fanficrants. XD

I suppose in the sense you mention it could be seen as feminist (though not slash exclusively, I'd say. Het, gen, or femslash are equally valid places to explore desires and free female characters of unequal relationships they might be in, don't you think?), and like I said below, there's feminists who slash, certainly, but there's also those slashers who think m/m love is pure and special and better than anything else, and all female characters who potentially endanger their OTP are sluts and should die. :/

I'm not into the slash fandom mostly because I'm not into slash (I have no major opinion of it as a fannish entity separate from the fans[meaning, both the good and the "bad' examples of slash fans], but it's rarethat I can be bothered to care about the love and/or sex life of one male character, much less two) but I still stumble across it a lot.

Haha. I like slash, but I like femslash, het, and 'no romance at all, actually' fanfiction just as well. I just go looking for fic with characters I'd like to see more of these days, when I want something to read.

I'm mostly gen but have the ability to squee over almost any canon(explicit or "understood official pairing") pairing I come across that doesn't bug me, but don't actually ship a lot. When I do, a female character I like seems to be an unalterable requirement, at least in my experiences so far. The 2 m/m pairings I COULD ship (off the top of my head, I'm sure there are a few others) involve so much angst that the mere idea of it traumatizes me. Or it's like Psych with Juliet/Shawn/Gus, where I simply refuse to choose, despite both options (well, technically there are 3 options in there, but...) being pretty blatantly written.

I do ship, I suppose, but I don't do the OTP thing where I support one ship and dislike all others; I'm open to pretty much everything as long as it doesn't squick me. I'm even happy to go for something that's only there for the pretties, as long as no-one's pretending it actually makes sense, though I prefer ones that actually do make sense personality-wise and such, as that makes it more interesting. The shipping I do myself while watching or reading something is mostly just for the lulz, as in "these characters haven't been on screen for a few episodes, bet they're off having an orgy".
