(Anonymous) 2021-11-24 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)No. You are 24 years old, you're an adult. I know the economy has totally screwed your generation, but a broke adult with student debt is still an adult. It's okay, you can still watch cartoons if you want. (Plenty of 50somethings do too.)

(Anonymous) 2021-11-25 12:02 am (UTC)(link)Omg yes!!! I don't think I've run into that outright -- thank God, but I think I've dealt with youths trying to act like they're grown? Which when I was 15 writing about people in their 20s, I had no clue WTF I was talking about but it just kills me lol
But I agree 100%. You can be 25+ live with your family (and even contribute to care taking!), have student debt, and still manage to have a full time job & a social life. And sometimes even have a kid! And still enjoy "kid stuff" regardless.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-25 12:16 am (UTC)(link)at 24 I was between jobs (contract worker) and chilling with friends on the weekend. I still watched cartoons and was into anime at the time. people don't understand that just because you get older you have to log off of the internet and do what the boomer generation consider "normal" adult things.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-24 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)I'm about to turn 30 and I'm already feeling this way. Lmao. I try to avoid college AUs (as someone who was lucky enough to go to college but commuted) because I just can't with this "I'm only 19/20 and I have classes, and amazing job (somehow?) and an apartment and etc etc etc" i just can't lmao
Not to say some people don't live like this/it might be a fantasy --but I can't. Am I being a bitter ass hater? Probably. So i just avoid it.

(Anonymous) 2021-11-25 12:13 am (UTC)(link)college aus I feel are complete fantasy for the writer who might be struggling through college/be jobless/living at home and is just wish fulfillment sometimes, or they're young and truly don't understand the juggle that classes/job/life is.
