This isn't a new song dude. This is an old song that is more or less universally loved by her fans, and they've been asking for the extended version for years. She's not releasing this stuff because of Jake, she's doing it because she knows her fans will lap it up and she's right.

I mean sure, take ownership of your fandom when it benefits your image. When they're being toxic that's on them.

Toxic stans are always going to be a thing, and they’re especially rampant and uncontrollable the bigger and more famous the celebrity is. There’s nothing she could do to actually stop them, so you’re expecting some unreasonable and unrealistic things out of her. I’m honestly side-eyeing you and the people saying similar things right now, because it’s understood by most people without vendettas that stans are a dark part of fandom around celebrities, that can’t be just told to stop and have them listen.

I think Swift is tacky for making this 10 minute song, because it’s super unnecessary. And there are a lot of other things to criticize her for both as an artist and a person. But holding her toxic stans against her makes your bias against her pretty transparent.

This! I actually haven't listened to the ten minute version because I love the original version and I don't want the ten minute version to change how I think about the song. But I think it's cool that she's giving the fans what they want like this, and it's kind of awesome that the fabled ten minute version of All Too Well has become reality after a decade.

Also, she's been saying for years that people shouldn't make assumptions about who her songs are about, because it's not that simple, but people just keep doing it anyway. Her songs are a cocktail of biography and fiction, but people persist in taking them as pure biography, even after she's repeated on multiple occasions that it doesn't really work that way.
