I pronounce Lazuli the way you do.

And I definitely get where you’re coming from on being annoyed about being corrected when you’re pronunciation is just as right. That’s why I attempted(and probably failed) to stress in the secret that my annoyance with the show’s pronunciation was a silly nitpick that I wish I could be not bugged by. Because I know that it’s not always pronounced “peri-dough”. And I would never correct someone IRL for pronouncing it that way, because it doesn’t bug me outside of the show, and it’s a word with multiple correct pronunciations anyway. I honestly try to not correct people’s pronunciations in general unless I know without a shadow of a doubt that it’s pronounced only one way, and they genuinely mispronounced it(and even then, I would only consider correcting people I personally know. My anxiety would never let me correct strangers). Because being “corrected” when both pronunciations are right is frustrating. The person doing the correcting in that case is wrong for doing so. I know it’s rich coming from me to say this based on my poor wording for the secret lmao

And I also would be more than happy to correct my pronunciation of a word if it was butchered by us Americans and I wasn’t aware of that before lol. So I agree with you there too.
