I love "The window", "Cupid", "The nature of the game", "Stripped bare" etc
I have a long way to go, because there are still moar pieces of that awesomeness.
About this pairing i ship Kakashi's attitude and the way Sakura has grown up. She's different now. A lot more. And Kakashi likes it about her.

(Anonymous) 2009-03-08 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)That raises (for me) a question about canon. As I've mentioned elsewhere, it's been quite a while since I've been in this fandom, or even read the manga. By "grown up", do you mean in Shippuden (which I can easily read online, if necessary) or in the authors' personal fanons?
Still, the wording of your comment makes it sound like "he used to see her as a student, but now he sees her as a woman". That, and the "combination of mature and innocent" (from the secret), are in large part what caught my attention. (If that makes any sense.)

(Anonymous) 2009-03-08 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)Most of the stories are post Shippuden when Sakura is about 20. A lot of the writers keep the manga in mind but it's not necessary.
It's not immune to badly written stories, but I'm always surprised about the quantity of well written ones there are.
This is a good rec list, if you just want to find a few one-shots for a preview.

(Anonymous) 2009-03-09 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)Thank you for posting this. I've been in various fandoms for a decade, and I've never really shipped anything like I've shipped Kakasaku. In everything else I prefer to read gen fics because I hate overly dramatic romance getting in the way of a good story. But many of the writers have a good story with great conflict and the romance seems to arise from it. At first, I just wanted to read a few Kakashi stories, and there wasn't much but Kakasaku, so I reluctantly read it.
I felt like you were reading my mind, it was so strange.
